I've recently joined the KRnet after our non-profit organization received a donation of a KR-2 (N147S serial number 2079). I'm told this particular KR-2 won first prize at Oshkosh some years back.
The plane has a Continental O-200 on it. The Hobbs meter shows just under 600 hours, but I don't know the engine or airframe history. I am trying to gather a bit more information on this aircraft - following up with the last registered owners, etc. It has the tail dragger gear. If anyone has information on this airplane, I would be interested in knowing more. Presently we have the airplane tied down in the Redlands airport near San Bernardino, California.
