Hmmm... was that Sunday, by any chance? The fly-in was only Fri. and Sat.,
June 1-2. Setup was on Thursday and take-down was on Sunday. I was driving
a tram at 2 PM on Saturday and the fly-in was fully buzzing with activity.
That's about the time that the T-6s were flying formation with the Yaks,
with a sextet of RVs flying formation a few hundred feet below them. The
fast glass airplanes had done high-speed fly-bys (and I do mean FAST!)- the
Columbia and some others. Incredible speed and climb.

All of the vendor booths were fully manned, people were everywhere, and
planes were everywhere too. You must have been there on Sunday-? Sorry it
didn't work out for you. And PS- I don't know what they were charging for
avgas on the field, but just a few miles away at the self-serve at
Castroville (T89) it was $3.70.
