They do not stick out, in fact, they are flush and make a great gap seal.
On my first KR, I thought that I would be real smart and use 3 separate
hinges, then one day, I realized the folly of my genius. Real dumb, cause
now I did not have any kind of a gap seal. Don't make the same mistake.

Subject: KR> aileron hinges

Hey Netters,

I have a question.... Anyone using something other than piano hinge
for their aileron hinges? If so, What are you using and what dimensions? I
really dont like how the piano hinge sticks out. I know they are suppose to
work
real well I would just rather use something different.
