Where was I? Putting 1.5 hours on my KR, also doing a lot more low level stuff than usual, flying up the river valley and taking in the scenery. Tomorrow I fly down to my father's farm for Mother's Day.
I got back from OZ last night....what a trip! It was really a blast. I'll work up a web page on it sometime in the next few days or weeks. There are some really sharp builders, and very nice folks down there. They really kept me entertained. Speaking of flying, I got to see a thunderstorm over Sumatra before sunrise yesterday that was absolutely incredible. There wasn't much light, just enough to see he outline of the thunderheads, but there was a constant display of lightening from within that was really amazing. Then I flew from Portland to Cincinnatti and got a great view of the country from 40,000'. A nice trip, other than the fact that it took me 45 hours to get back home. Our travel agent was apparently under The obligatory sunset picture is at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/sunsets/070512030m.jpg , somewhere over the Indian Ocean. I can only hope that I never get caught on top of something like this, as some of these clouds were approaching our 42,000 foot cruise altitude! I really need to put some tires on mine and do some other real maintenace (such as gear leg extensions), which I'll start on Monday. I got some good ideas from the Aussies too, which I hope to incorporate. I'll detail some of those later as well...
