Gus, You should be fine, just build your seats first, then get your wife to take a measurement of you in the plane, for how high the T-deck must be above the shelf, to give you plenty of head room accounting for a hat and headset. Then square the T-deck off a little to give that amount of room, where your head will be.
Yes, the KR2 is a little tight for shoulder room, but with your personal configuration, you should have no problem with that.
