Well, there's always Jeff Scott's little "what-if", here: http://www.flysquirrel.net/floats/krfloat.jpg I tried using the KRNet search engine and it seems to be out to lunch at the moment, but some years back there was talk of putting a KR on floats for entry into a race in Europe, the Piccola Coppa Schneider ("Little Schneider Cup")- http://www.aviogatti.it/coppanews.htm . Nothing ever came of it, though, since a Zenith on floats won the cup that year and discouraged whoever it was that was thinking of building an entry based on their KR.
