My answer would be "maybe" - I would not attempt it with out getting it as warm as possible - I think I would do that by laying an electric blanket over it and getting it good and warm ( as in the high setting for several hours) then I would use something to spread the clamping forces across the full width of the canopy - a piece of lumber cut to the same curvature you are trying to bend to would be the ideal - you want to avoid any localised stress induced by the clamps.
An offering to the "gods" would also be good insurance :-) Rick Human Houston, Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: <skp...@charter.net> To: "KRNET" <kr...@mylist.net> Sent: Sunday, April 08, 2007 2:33 PM Subject: KR> Re: canopy bulkhead shape > Does anybody think I will be able to sort of square off the KR canopy I have by > pushing down on the top at the bulkhead by 1.25 inches and not break the thing? > > _______________________________________ > Search the KRnet Archives at http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/index.jsp > to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to krnet-le...@mylist.net > Post photos, introductions, and For Sale items to http://www.kr2forum.com/phpBB2/index.php > please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html
