Tough break Allen, I haven't bent mine yet. So, my heart goes out to you in
this. If your'e going to swap ends, that means taking apart all your glued
up joints, (that sounds horrible). The repair should be stronger than the
original wood. I would probably just try and repair the break, and then bend
it slowly over several days. What kind of plane is this on?
