Currently I am building a 2180 new for a project. I would suggest that you
buy new parts and build a new engine. I have a grand total of $2800 in my
2180. I also found that you can get the 4340 crank at a lot of places, the
new aluminum case made for large bore and stroke alot cheaper than going
thru Great Plains. My 4340 crank new, nitrided with no taper, I am using a
gear reduction drive, was only $160 direct from a local wholesaler, he also
got me my case for $320. Heads, cylinders and pistons were $1400..... shop
around before you buy.

Subject: KR> engine series number

A B6 series engine is a Type1 1970, 1600cc single port engine with dual oil
relief.
Unless you know the specific history of the engine, the case and headsmay
cost more
to bring it into spec. than it is worth if you plan on a large stroke and
bore engine (2180)
If plans are for a small engine (up to 1915cc) the optons are greater.
