Those were indeed gorgeous pictures. I flew over some of this stuff today, although on a more southerly route. It makes you wonder where you'd go if the engine crapped out! It was a three day trip to China Lake, California for a two hour meeting. One thing that I couldn't help but notice is that it is indeed really windy out there, just like Jeff Scott said. I'm still up for Dana's KR/RV (or is it RV/KR?) Western trip, which we are now planning for late Summer or Fall sometime. I'm sure this discussion will heat up later in the year, and I'm looking forward to a trip similar to what's described in the link above. My trip wasn't a complete waste of time though, as I got to see the Airbus 380 take off from LAX last night. I was drinking a dark beer in the bar at the top of the Radisson (which is right between the two runways) when it left. It burned up a lot more runway than the fully loaded little guys that left before and after it. See http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/flights/070321079m.jpg . It's been three days, so I'm going flying tomorrow...
