The KR2(S) seems to offer a good combination of simplicity, economy and
performance, and this might be a really good project to do with my 10 Y.O.
son...

Personally I think the idea of building with your son is fantastic. What a 
way of learning and spending quality time
with him. BY the time it is finished he would be getting close to be able to 
fly it.

My KR is just about finished with I had a son to share, On the other side my 
dad has been a great help to me, and assisted when I needed help. I took him 
flying in the 152 yesterday, and we landed at an ultralight flying in with a 
full size Kittyhawk up my rudder.

A very good chose of aircraft to build.
