I have used Paypal frequently for over six years. I've never used a credit card for a transaction with them, although seems like they required that I give them one for their files. From the beginning I've transferred money to my Paypal account from a bank account and have kept a positive balance out of which come my purchases & sometimes refunds.
I have the idea that if credit cards are not involved with Paypal transactions the charges are minimal. I know it has never cost me a penny as a buyer to use Paypal and there have been at least a couple eBay deals gone awry that Paypal covered just because I used them. I've never suffered the slightest confusion or problem in using Paypal. Just thought I'd mention my experiences with this valuable money transfer utility since I saw where someone thinks (and I think it is a common misconception) it is necessary to use a credit card with Paypal.
