And it does a fairly good job of routing the oil back to the engine all by itself without a separator.
I bought a Sonerai a few months ago that has a tube coming out the firewall. On the inside it has a long hose that goes all the way back through the fusalage and comes out by the tailwheel. You just run a simple hose from whatever breather you have to the tube on the firewall and end the oily belly problems forever. From now on every plane I have will have one of these tubes installed if I can do it. I am sick of cleaning oil of my bellies and this is an easy way to fix it. However, any oil that comes out of it, will, of course, end up all over your engine. Steve Bennett sells a unit to replace that, which will allow you to route the air/oil to an air/oil separator that you can put on your firewall. This unit also allows for adding your oil. It is at the bottom of this page: http://www.greatplainsas.com/sccaseparts html I routed it to this separator that I made. I am sure that you can buy them, but they are easy enough to make. http://krbuilder.org/FirewallForward/index.html About 1/4 of the scroll down on the thumbnails.
