Netheads, I have been given some early KR Newsletters. In one Newsletter Aug 97 there is an article about glassing etc. This guy's suggestion was before glassing prime the foam. this stops the epoxy soaking into the foam.
Make a primer of powered waterproof glue mixed with water, the type that can be purchased at the hardware store. Mix the glue according to instructions, then begin to thin with water while mixing in micro ballons. Experiment with some scrap foam & adjust the mixture until the filler sands almost as easily as the foam. This seals the foam & stops the foam absorbing any expoxy resin, makes it lighter & you use less resin Has anyone else tried this & what was the results. I am interested in your comments.
