41 is a very odd value. 47 is very common. The first two stripes on the
resistor should be yellow and violet. For 41 they would be yellow and
brown. I have seen a lot of resistors where the violet was very brown
looking.

Subject: KR> Electronic Question

I ordered a Great Plains Strobe kit, It came with three resistors of which
two have slightly different values than the instructions call for. The
instructions call for a 470K and a 47K, the kit contains a 410K and a 41K.
Can
anyone tell me if this will make a difference in the operation of the
strobe? GP
was of no help.
