Marc, I drink coffee with the test pilot nearly every morning and according
to him he was ejected from the glider. It happened so fast that he does not
remember anything until his awareness of freefalling on his back. At this
time he pulled the rip cord. The cord used to limit the canopys opening
distance (attached to the seat) became tangled in the drag chute as it
deployed and the main chute would not deploy. He was lucky to get it
untangled enough after about 7,000 feet of free-fall for the drag chute to
deploy the main chute. He did not personally deploy the the BRS nor did he
intentionally regress from the glider. He was ejected from the glider. Along
with the seat he also took out the instrument panel with his legs. The
fuselage came down with the BRS and was not destroyed upon impact. The BRS
had nothing to do with him being saved other than ejecting him from the
glider. It almost killed him. The wings, as they seperated from the
fuselage, triggered the BRS. This is from the test pilots account of the
incident. You can call this a BRS save if you desire to.

Please do not respond to this, I am through talking with you pseudo
intellectuals.
