Nope! It was a R&D project at Mississippi State University. The glider was 
an Owl ultra-light glider being tested for development as a UAV. The 
airspeed was mechanically peged at 100 mph,  vne 90. The test pilot was not 
aware of the speed he was going because of the peg. Computer data analysis 
indicated he was going the 171 mph when the glider broke-up. Normally the 
airspeed would continue past the max indicated.
