Guys,
Further to my question last week re.wooden two blade props on the KR2:I
managed to track down mr Chris Lodge (he has over the years, made in excess
of 1000 propellors in mahogany) He has retired now,but told me that the wood
he had sourced from South America is now unavailable. There has been some
kind of govermental deal re.rainforrest decimation etc that has effectively
placed an embargo on importation of this fine wood to the U.K.

The recommended torque value for the wooden two blader on the V.W. is 10/12
ft/lbs
Brass leading edge cuffs will protect the prop against heavy rain, but this
is still best avoided.
Check the torque values at say 20 hours and always wire lock bolts.
Check torque values if the aircraft has not flown over seasonal change
periods. (wood breathes,so climatic changes may alter bolt tension.

There you have it,not too scientific but hope its helpfull info......
mark
