I have moved a Revmaster 2100 from a KR to another plane and I had to take off the turbo, the big oil cooler on the bottom, the oil filter, the prop control, and the big two stage oil pump. I thought that I would put fittings on the top of the engine where the oil cooler normally goes and run them to the cooler. The one problem I am having now is with the oil pressure bypass valve. This is the valve on the bottom of the engine on the prop hub side. The oil pressure regulator is the one on the other side of the engine.
Revmaster puts a fitting in this hole and takes out the spring and poppet. They run the fitting to one side of the oil cooler. I thought I would just order a new cap, spring, and poppet from Great Plains, but Steve told me that Revmaster puts an internal plug in one of the oil passages inside the case and you need to split the case to remove it. Anyway, now I have a fitting that I have to connect to one side of the cooler, but I don't know where to run the other side to. Perhaps one of the two fittings for the cooler on the top of the engine? Brian Kraut Engineering Alternatives, Inc. www.engalt.com
