It would seem to me that most headset adaptors should be common to all radios. Will the new ones not work with your older radio? Call ICON and ask them. I have a two place intercom that has a hardwire plug that plugs directly in to a hand held radio (except a Sportys) and the intercom has a jack to plug in a push-to-talk switch. It works just fine. My radio is a JRC from AS&S for $216 and I'd put it up against any ICON or anything else on the market. It is a Nav-Com with 100 memory channels, standby frequency, NOAA weather channels, and much, much, more. You can set the output to one or five watts for battery saving, etc. It comes complete with rechargable battery and charger. I run mine off of aircraft power (adaptor extra), use an external antenna, a two place intercom, and you can't tell it from a panel mount. On radio checks I always get "loud and clear". Larry Flesner
