NetHeads, OK, here's my contribution for flight reports today...http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/flights/061103100m.jpg . This is what passes for fall foliage colors and rolling hills in southern Tennessee. I flew up to visit Troy Petteway at Columbia, then came back and did ten touch-n-goes for good measure. I also got to watch a couple of cotton pickers work on a field that must have been two miles long. Interesting stuff. I found the field by wondering where I'd go if the engine crapped out.
I analyzed a little data from a flight last week, and determined my glide ratio is really 11.4:1 rather than 13.5:1 as determined earlier. I have pretty good confidence in the 11.4:1 number...
