This just pisses me off! It was sent to me from a young lady who used to work
for me. It was written by her sister whose husband is stationed in Iraq. I just
thought you should know how AT@T is treating our soldiers. To the KR guys, I
know this isn't KR related but I just wanted everyone to know about it. Maybe
if enough people get as mad as me about it we can get something done. As far as
what I am going to do. I am going to write a letter to my congressman telling
him what I think of this policy.
I have a friend in the Marines stationed if Falajua who has a wife and 4 kids
back home in Camp LaJune who are on welfare because they don't make enough
money to feed their kids. .28 per minute for a phone call from their Dad is an
extra hardship they don't need.
Just my 2 cents worth, tell me what you think.

Subject: IT IS NICE TO KNOW HOW AT&T "SUPPORTS" OUR MILITARY

Apparently the government has allowed AT&T to install telephones at FOBs in
Iraq as the only means to make a phone call. Well AT&T has decided that the
only way to make a call from their phones is to use a prepaid AT&T Global
Calling Card. No other cards are allowed. That means that most of the
soldiers are not able to make calls to their families in the US until someone
in the US buys them a card for them to be able to use. So they can't make a
call until they get a card, and they can't get a card until they can make a
call. Apparently the soldier can buy a card at the PX in Iraq. Hello AT&T,
most of our soldiers are not around a PX they are in a war and getting shot at
everyday. Then, to add onto the great moral that AT&T has given our soldiers,
they want to charge $0.28 and up per minute for the call. I hope the Corporate
Executives for AT&T are sleeping safe and cozy in their very expensive beds
tonight.
