Hey Mark I know that you will probly do this anyway but I would suggest that you pull the other head off and ck it out because from what saw on the head that you have off it does't look like it may be confind to just one head there may be an issue with the Valves back in the sixtys we were using leaded gas and now we have unleaded gas.It is possable that when you had the overheating problem that the valve seat did loosen up and as time went by the seat just got worse. I think also that with the intake being open and the piston still going up and down that the airflow in the intake manifold is being disrupted and the cylinders on that side of the engine would lose a lot of power but that being said the engine at this point would be running very Rough Bob Fry
