Check www.flightprep.com for real facts, but I think it's 900MHz processor, 15G of RAM and Win2000. The biggie is a laptop display that can be read in a KR bubble canopy cockpit. I tried the LS-800 the other day (supposedly daylight readable), and I was not impressed. I have a Dell 820 from work that would be more acceptable. I'm still looking, but plan to meet the Office Depot store manager in the morning to "live check" a Vaio S660/B out in the parking lot to see if it'll get me by until my checkbook catches up with bright screen technology. This will be the perfect small laptop if I can see it, and it's on sale. Tomorrow's going to be cloudy, but that's the only time I should need weather anyway! The Airmap 1000 does me just fine the rest of the time. Joe Horton wrote: >>Hey, Could you send me a picture like that for next Thursday morning - say around 7 am EDT??? Which color is rain?<< I'll be in Iowa or somewhere on Thursday morning, so that's a little iffy! But it's just Nexrad weather radar from XM Weather sattelite, so the green is light rain, yellow is heavier, red is a downpour, and purple is you don't want to be there! I have to admit that I am really stoked about being able to pick my way through rain showers and choose the best altitude for favorable winds "on the fly"...
