OK, since it is that glorious day again here goes. I made it a point by this past Weds. to have everything, except the fuse, ready for the painter.......I however can truly state, Mission Accomplished. I pulled all flying surfaces off and made sure all riggings were labled and put aside. Took about 2 hours to remove both ailerons, flaps, elevators, wings, vertical stab and horizontal stab in that order. Carefully my babies left the household and went to the painter. I'm not even going to try black imron. Next time everything gets reattached, it is for good!! Nice feeling after laying off for 2 years with the big D and building a new house. As you can see, I need to rivet the top forward skin on and windscreen attachment. These are the last two things you do on the fuse so you can have access to the wiring. I'm firewall forward now and will be doing the baffling starting next week. It sure looks strange having it look like a boat agian but it sure is easier to get around downstairs now.
