I just made a reservation for $51/night at the Days Inn across the street from the Holiday Inn. Go to http://www.daysin.com and plug in Mount Vernon, IL. Choose the Days Inn at 205 Potomac Boulevard. I got a King Non-Smoking for $51/day. I was planning on camping but at these prices why not have a real bed? See you in Mt Vernon in 29 days!
