The inner rim on my wheels are serrated (ribbed) which should alleviate any possibility of tire slippage. Check to see if your wheels are serrated. If not then I would say the slippage marks would be a necessity. I just also replaced a tube on my sons bike tire yesterday which showed major tire slippage due to the tube stem was leaning way over and not 90? to the rim. Unfortunately, this type indication can not be seen on a two piece wheel such as we use on the KR due to the clamping channel that the stem lays in.

That would be a GREAT idea, thank you. After I replace these tires I will add the marks. Lee Do you guys have creep marks on your tyres. They are mandatory in UK. The purpose of the mark is to make sure that the tyre is not moving on the rim, if it does, it will tend to rip the valve out. It's more of a problem with Tundra tyres that run at low pressure, not quite so important on titchy little wheels with 30psi. _______________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/index.jsp to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to krnet-le...@mylist.net please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html
