Larry I think to are correct.
I had to remove the Diehl skins from my preowned KR2, the skins came off the
spar far to easterly for my liking. I rebuilt as per Dan's instructions,
wetting the rough sanded spars and good layer of flox, then finger fillets
along the spar to skin joint.
The main reason I removed them was that the Right wing ( I think) was ONE
inch shorter from the Front of the main spar to the leading edge, than the
left wing and the right outer spar was bent backward and twisted . If I had
not removed and repaired these wings, I shutter to think how long they have
lasted in flight,
SO please, use GOOD quality Glue, T88, West System and the many others that
have been used by aircraft + boat builder for many years.
& try to find and use Good quality wood, and ply.
Why RISK using something thing is unpredictable??????

Safe building & Flying to all!!!!!
