I've seen 265F on a very long climb to high altitude (before I improved the 
oil cooler inlet duct), and I didn't like it.  I throttled back a little and 
made the climb shallower, and it started to come down.  Even today on super 
hot days in a long climb it'll get up to 235, so I'm considering a larger 
oil cooler.  Right now I have the stock Corvair folded fin cooler.  If 
you're using something other than a folded fin cooler (if you're using stock 
Corvair), that's an easy upgrade, as the footprint will be the same. 
Clark's sells them for something like $12 used.  It was standard on the 60 
models (I think), but was discontinued due to cost and changed to the less 
efficient plate type coolers later.
