Netters, I have a VW 1835, per Great planes, a non detergent oil should be used. OK time they are a changing. What about a synthetic oil and what weight? Steve B. I know that you keep an eye on this site. Is there any reason why I can't use a synthetic oil. My mino Cooper goes 15k in between oil changes. Using Castrol Synthetic only.
