Today I was able to start and run my engine under control. The tiny tach says 1500 top rpm, a visual tach says 2900. A little smoothing and I can check off engine on the to do list. I noticed that MY compass was doing the same thing as was reported, pointing 90 degrees out. I also found that my hand-me-down prop (Warnke) is delaminating at the tip.What are others following for props with a VeeDub 1835? Two balde? Three blade? Ground adjustable? I really hope to fly before the Gathering but so much left to do including the FAA. Still, it was a good day!
