I don't remember if yours is in the panel now or not, but if it is I would
almost bet that a vew one in the same spot will do the same thing.  If it is
next to the turn coordinator or other magnetic material that will throw it
off pretty far.  Remove it from the panel and hold it a foot above and you
may be surprised how much of a difference there is.  I had the same problem
on the KR and the Stang.

I just figured out that my compass will not adjust.  It is an old, very old,
airpath that was rebuilt.  It say W when it should say N and adjusting the
screws does not move it much.  So, I need to replace it and want to mount it
in the panel, because I don't have any other place to put it.  Does anyone
have one they want to sell, or have suggestions on what to buy

I am not holding up my first flight because of this, as I will have the
airport in sight, but do want to start looking into it now.
