I don't remember if yours is in the panel now or not, but if it is I would almost bet that a vew one in the same spot will do the same thing. If it is next to the turn coordinator or other magnetic material that will throw it off pretty far. Remove it from the panel and hold it a foot above and you may be surprised how much of a difference there is. I had the same problem on the KR and the Stang.
