Hello Net,

This being Friday and seeing as there is some interest in publishing
web pages to exchange information on building I thought I would share a
few links to help those without a lot of web publishing experience.

www.htmlgoodies.com - this site is quite a valuble tool and explains
HTML in detail. This site describes the inner workings of HTML code
similar to a "Basics of Aerodynamics" that you learn as part of flight
training. Very good info here and enough of it that you could use any
text editor to set up your pages.

www.fileden.com - 500MB free web hosting space. You have to deal with
ads and popups logging in and uploading but you can link out of this
site without ads. This makes it a perfect place to hold your graphic
elements. Then you could easily get a cheap domain through Yahoo or such
and leave your HTML code there. I'm not sure how much space they offer
but it's an option to have www.johnqskrpage.com or www.krn123yz.com.
Domains are easier to remember than a 50 character URL.

www.moonfruit.com - this has changed a great deal since I found it in
2000 and of course the free version now furnishes you with ads until you
upgrade to their pay to play level. Still a fairly easy to use interface
you can try for free and if it suits your need decide to upgrade from
there.

www.xtralean.com - Mac users, here is a WYSIWIG editor that should be on
your hard drive. Sleek little app for throwing together pages in a
jiffy. I'm sure there is something like it on the PC side but not being
a PC user (yet that is) I'm not readily familiar with one. For Intel Mac
users also have a peek at www.parallels.com. This is cool, way cool. Run
just about any OS alongside OSX. If you need a UNIX box and also sevral
flavors of Windows on one computer this is a wonderful solution.

http://www.csi-concepts.com/index.htm - this is a dual platform CAD
package with rendering capabilities that won't hit your wallet quite as
hard as AutoCAD while still offering a great deal of flexibility.

http://interfacelift.com/ - just a fun site to browse if you want to
ditch that same old boring desktop and icons.

Off topic, it's Friday. Just thought I'd hand out some useful info for
the net to use. Every picture published generates that many more ideas
for building and if it helps even one person out a jam it's worth
reading. Get those Oshkosh photos up and share with those who can't make
it this year.

Have a great weekend and fly safe.

B. Ferguson
