The only thing with the Diehl nose gear is that the only size tire that will fit is the TR100-022 tire from Wicks which is a Shin 3.40x3.00x5 which is a fairly small tire. If the grass strip is well groomed and very smooth, you should have no problem as long as you do soft field landings which are very easy to do in a KR. I consistently land on the mains holding the nose off until the elevator no longer has any effect and lets the nose settle. So far, I have not landed or taken off from grass in my KR. I have taxied in grass and had no problem. I use full up elevator when I do just to help keep weight off the nose.
