Just remember according to SAE 20w50 will not flow properly below 15 degrees, 
so not only is it important to pay close attention to the outside air temp, but 
also the altitude temp (Winds Aloft Chart) that you will be flying at.  
Otherwise, just change at a good service interval, say every 50 hours, sooner 
if harder use, and always change the filter at the same time.

With the exception of what Larry Flesner has personal experience about with 
Marvel Mystery Oil, which is based on actual measured performance/compression 
values, I would not run any other additives in my plane engine.  Regular 
maintenance will do far more to protect it.  Run what you are comfortable with, 
but in my mind if it says it sticks to metal, it will stick to ALL metal, 
including oil passages, etc... where you don't want it building up.  Based on 
the chemist who wrote one of the articles, you may even hurt the performance of 
the chosen oil when combined with the additive.
