KRnet, I've been following this group for some time. The accomplishments of the core group are truly amazing. The redesign of the "KR2 " is producing safer and better performing AC. The knowledge and the willingness to share is in the best interests of our sport/hobby.
My interest is in the KR1, specifically theB model. While the mission is different the construction is similar. I think if KR was still with us the B would have evolved into a better performing and safer AC such as the 2 has. I hope to finish my Glasair project in the next year or so, and would like to start building the B. In the meantime I'll be collecting materials and doing research. Some questions I have are, Due to the increase in wingspan,17 to 21 feet, how much should the fuse be stretched and how would this affect the stabilizer area? Airfoil. Would the new KR airfoil work just as well or better than the GAW-1? How about the older Wortmann airfoils? Powerplant. How much h.p., weight? Is there any interest in this type of project, or am I barking up the wrong[spruce] tree? This list is designed for KR information, right? Sure would be nice to get back to the way it was when I was in the middle of my building stage. Back then, there was things to learn from every post. Can we not evolve this list back to a KR building and information forum? My keyboard no longer has a delete button it cause I simply wore it out. > > BTW: TODAY IS A MILESTONE...We are transitioning form three digits to double digits as of today there are only 100 days left to the KR Gathering. :-) > > Mark Jones (N886MJ) > Wales, WI > Web site: www.flykr2s.com > Mailto:flyk...@wi.rr.com > > > _______________________________________ > Search the KRnet Archives at http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/index.jsp > to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to krnet-le...@mylist.net > please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html >
