Alarm went off at 5am...left for the airport at 5:35am after coffee and a shower (thank God).....added five gallons of fuel to the tanks....rolled my Corvair powered KR-2S out of the hangar at 5:55am....did a pre flight and fired her up at 6:05am.....called the tower and was cleared for takeoff at 6:12am......flew around this beautiful morning for .8 hours....made a smooth landing and packed the KR away and headed to the office and was sitting at my desk at 7:40am. What a way to start a day!!! The sad part is that I have to work all day before I can go back and fly some more. I love this KR / Corvair thing and you will to once you get your bird in the air. BTW, THE KR GATHERING IS JUST 105 DAYS AWAY....Will you be there?
