The news on John hit me really hard. For the last 2 years I had spent alot of time with John at the gatherings. Not only was he a fun and crazy guy, he had alot of feelings for the KR2. I rode with John from Mt. Vernon to St Louis the last 2 years. We had some good conversations. He told me that he was going to buy a plane until he finished his KR. He really wanted to get to the IFR level. I too was shocked to see that he had to sell his KR2. The information that Mark said, that John wanted to be at the gathering this year was not just for the KR, it was also for all the friends that he had met at the gathering.
