http://www.killacycle.com/Lights.htm http://www.creativair.com/cva/product_info.php?products_id=69 Here's an LED nav light idea for you, with a link to a strobe site (I confess that I haven't "run that one to ground yet". I have a set of these nav lights for mine, but haven't assembled or installed them yet (too busy flying). They are reputed to meet FAA regs. I bought some Kuntzlemann strobes (http://www.kestrobes.com/ddm_models.html ) years ago, but the intensity and flash rate was uninspiring. I bought a used Whelen Double Flash from Brian Kraut a while back, and it really lights those Kuntzlemann strobe heads up! After watching these for about 10 seconds and thinking I was going to be blind for life, I figured I ought to ask Kuntzlemann if those flash tubes could handle 25 joules per flash at that rate, and he said "no problem". I've yet to prove it, but if it really works, it'll be an lightweight, aerodynamic, blinding strobe system for half the price.
