I didn't use "tractor" paint but I think it was acrylic enamel and
all I can recall is that it was "Nasson" brand or something
similar.  I used the frost white color and it was approx $40
a gallon.  It has held up well so far with some minor yellowing
on the belly from oil stains.  Not bad considering I never did
rub out or buff the paint nor did I ever apply a coat of wax.
I simply had the paint shot, let it dry, and started flying.  I'm
quite happy with the results of the cheaper paint and would
go that route again if I have to.
