Well, I guess that finally having an engine, deserves that much. I ran it today and it sounds solid. There were none of those nagging sounds that made me think there was something wrong, and the windshield was as clean when I finished the run as it was when I started. No oil leaking from anywhere. I also got a very nice surprise when I started throttling it back for shut down. It idled all the way down to 650 RPM as smooth as a sewing machine.
Tomorrow, I put on the baffling and give it another run before taxi testing. I added an oil filter which makes me feel better also.
