KRs, I am slowly coming to the realization that doing your own thing, using hardware store bolts etc.,among other things does not sit well with people who know aircraft maintenance, repair and building. Some of you may have seen the television ads showing the father doing the laundry, picking up the kid's toys etc and his little daughter continuing to say "thats not the way momma does it". Well the same daggone thing applies to building a homebuilt aircraft. You show your project to an A/P or I/A and you get the same response..."thats not the way you do that". So I am now looking for some builder's books that probably will not be used again and someone who would like to sell them. Eventually I would like to get to the point that I don't have to listen to that phrase coming out of an inspector's mouth. I sort of suspect that a few of you may have reached the same point of frustration sometime in the past. I am probably wrong because most of you are probably smarter than me to start with. Regards and thanks for your help.
