Hello Netters Well the move to near the coast is complete, and work has resumed on the KR2, much to my delight! Yesterday I finished the removal of the temporary mold foam for the cowling mods to allow the front starter Corvair enough space, and now I am prepping for the interior glassing of the top. The bottom still needs alot of work. Also added gutters to the new gullwing to weather seal it, which I trimmed yesterday. Once the sling seats are completed, I will begin working inside the plane to get the remainder of the new instruments installed, radio trays back up, etc...
The plane is the talk of the community, and people who walk by in the evenings, or during the day stop and ask about it. I get a real kick out of that! I have it under an awning similar to Mark Langford's first parking spot. Oh, and anyone who got an email from bellsouth dot net that they did not recognize the female name of Beverly Rainey, that came from me. I had hoped the change message would give me a chance to add a greeting but it did not, so sorry gang. Anyway, use this one to respond directly to me.
