All of the free "new" airfoil templates at http://www.krnet.org/as504x/templates.html (see the fourth paragraph from the bottom) include templates for a real airfoil for the horizontal and vertical stabilizers. The reason I created these is because it was clear to me that the plans version was done with a compass (at the root), and the tip doesn't even pretend to be an airfoil. Several people are flying with these now (including me) and nobody's fallen out of the sky yet due to a tail stall. As far as technical sources, I didn't think I needed any to beat what's in the plans...
