Hi to all on the KR net, I have been sitting here looking at all posts on the KR net for the past couple of years with great interest, whilst working quietly on my KR project, to date the fuse is complete with tail feathers, wing ready to foam, rudder peddles and cables in, alumn fuel tank completed, wing tips ready to attach, VW motor ready to get my attention, Dans undercarriage attached as well as the accessory case sitting in a box with the lightened flywheel, engine mounts and cowls ready to fit up etc....my progress is a little slow, but my time is a little short due to my work and other interests......interests that will see me visiting the USA from 25th March. I am a member of the Ken Warby World Water Speed Record Challenge team, and I will be visiting the Florida area from around April 1st, when Ken Warby (who still holds the World Water Speed Record at 317.6mph) will provide a little entertainment by giving a number of public demonstrations of his new jet powered boat "Aussie Spirit" on American waters. This boat, with 66 year old Ken Warby as the pilot, will attempt a new world water speed record in Australia in the next few years, and the demonstration runs to be held in Florida will happen in conjunction with the American AMF Off Shore Racing boat teams. A great chance for those interested in speed and History to see something to remember. There will not be a lot of publicity, but we will be towing the boat (Aussie Spirit) from Ohio on about 28th or 29th March to Crescent City & St Cloud Florida...not sure of details I may be a little busy to have a chat at times as I will be filming the happenings, but if there are any KR people out there and in that area, please come and say hi.
