Bobby, As I recall, I first met your father and you, the year he lost a prop on the way to Sun N Fun. I believe it was around 1994. I think it was determined to be a bird strike while flying in Georgia.
Your airplane and the fact that your father was flying one was the thing that solidified my desire for a KR. I believe your father spoke at a KR forum that year and discussed his prop loss ordeal. Afterwards you and your dad and a few others sat in a circle and I got to sit in the discussion. Another lasting positive impression that this KR and this KR group was what I wanted to do. I believe I got the pleasure of running into your dad a few more times. Your dad and you both took the time to be very open to me, taking time to talk with me and engaging with me in understanding the KR and the whole KR thing. Your dad was really cool. Not many people have given me the time of day in the aviation world but you and your father where very kind to put up with this anoying KR want a be. I looked for you and your dad at many more Sun N Fun's but I never got the chance to meet up with you again. I had heard you had moved to Texas with your job. Sometimes you don't realize how much of a positive impression you make on someone. I am saddened to hear of your fathers passing. A true gentlemen, a teacher and a cool KR guy. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jeff York Lexington, KY.
