Yea, that is the only reason to learn to weld, because you want to, and it
is all the reason that anyone needs.  You know, a lot of people think you
should build the engine also, if you are really going to build an airplane. 
Did that once, but not interested anymore.  I would rather be able to afford
a nice FWF package.  For me, building the plane, getting it inspected, doing
all the paperwork, taking that first flight ( becoming a test pilot ), that
is enough for me.
