Jack,
     Go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and get a book called Welding,
high performance, by Richard Finch. It will walk you through the
process step by step, from how to set the welder up, how to grind the
tungsten for a specific job, etc. I use it teaching these kids to
weld. If they make a mistake, it's because the missed reading
something. you probably don't need an instructor if you get this
book. All you need is some time on the end of a torch. It's like
flying, you can theorize all you want, but you don't improve your
skills until you get behind the stick.....Bobby
