Hello Bryan and welcome to the list. You may as well throw those stats out the window. They are not realistic in today's world. Here is a link to some real world stats on flying KR's... http://www.kr-2.aviation-mechanics.com/krinfo.htm Let us know if you have any more questions.

I have RR's published stats for the KR2, but was wondering what some of the actual planes are for empty weight and gross weight. The published #'s being 480# empty and 900# gross giving a payload of 420#. What doesn't add up is the 35 gal fuel capacity. If you subtract the fuel weight from the payload it doesn't leave much for payload. I would like to have a true two seat plane (so the wife can go along) and the 420# payload would work great. I have three engines I am considering, the GP 1915, Gp 2180 , and a Suzuki 1300. All of which would have about the same installed weight. I really don't like the Corvair, 0-200, or Subaru's so.... Input from some of you experienced members would be much appreciated. _______________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/index.jsp to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to krnet-le...@mylist.net please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html
