  Last saturday I was enroute from Platteville,  Wisconsin to Independence, 
Iowa.  Just north of Manchester, Iowa I heard a bang and the plane started to 
shake.  I was about 3 miles from the Manchester airport.  I landed at 
Manchester.  Hauled the plane home.  After dismantling the engine I found the 
crankshaft was broke.
